Built for resistance surveillance, transmission-dynamics, and environmental-reservoir research.

- Detecting a resistance gene does not confirm phenotypic resistance, gene expression, or bacterial viability.
Pathogen + Resistance Marker Detection

- Candida auris, OXA-48, Van A/B
- Description
- A combined real-time PCR panel detecting the emerging multidrug-resistant yeast Candida auris alongside two resistance markers: OXA-48 (carbapenem resistance) and vanA/vanB (vancomycin resistance). Aimed at surveillance, infection-control, and AMR research.

- Detecting OXA-48 or vanA/vanB does not confirm phenotypic resistance without additional testing.
Staphylococcus aureus
Staphylococcus aureus is a Gram-positive bacterium commonly found on skin and mucous membranes. S. aureus is notorious for causing a wide spectrum of infections, ranging from skin and soft tissue infections to more severe conditions like pneumonia, endocarditis, and sepsis. Additionally, multi-drug resistant strains such as methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant S. aureus (VRSA) have emerged.
While this kit is not designed to detect specific antimicrobial resistance, it is useful for microbiological research, contamination control studies, and tracking the prevalence of S. aureus in environmental or clinical research samples.
