Dr. Mary Stack joined Delphine Diagnostics Inc as an R&D and Commercialization Scientist in Fall 2022. Dr. Stack is a recent doctoral graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology and a recipient of the 2022 Young Innovator Award in Tissue Regeneration and Limb Preservation presented by OneGuild. Her dissertation research focused on developing synthetic skin grafts for the treatment of chronic ulcers, and related work has been presented by herself and her collaborators at conferences such as the Wound Healing Science and Industry Summit, Biomedical Engineering Society National Meeting, and American Chemical Society Conference as well as published in Biomaterials and Advanced Healthcare Materials. In her free time, Mary enjoys playing violin, indoor gardening, and baking.
Ravindran Kumar is a highly accomplished professional with a robust educational background and extensive experience in the field of life sciences. Holding a Ph.D. in Life Science, a master’s degree in Genetic Engineering, a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, and a diploma in Computational Biology, Ravindran has a solid foundation in various disciplines. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics, he is recognized for his expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, and molecular assay development.
Delphine Team is excited to communicate that Dr. Vidhya Gopalakrishnan has agreed to come on board as a member – Board of Advisors, with a focus on Scientific Initiatives to help the growth of Delphine Diagnostics Inc. Vidhya Gopalakrishnan, Ph.D., is currently Chief Development Officer at Retrotope Inc. She has over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development and operations, having led various product development programs from preclinical through Phase 3 development and new drug application (NDA) submission. She has broad experience spanning various delivery platforms and therapeutic areas, including the central nervous system, kidney, and ophthalmology indications. Dr. Gopalakrishnan was most recently senior vice president, pharmaceutical development, at Quark Pharmaceuticals, a late clinical-stage company developing siRNA therapeutics. In this role, she built a CMC department and led drug development and manufacturing activities ranging from pre-IND and IND stages to NDA submissions. She also oversaw process validations in anticipation of product registration, as well as supply chain activities. Prior to Quark, she held various positions including SVP, R&D operations, at Neuraltus Pharmaceuticals, where she was responsible for the strategy and development of Neuraltus’s clinical drug candidates for neurodegenerative diseases. In addition, she has previously held other leadership positions at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Aerogen, ALZA, and Cygnus. Dr. Gopalakrishnan received her Ph.D. in oligoribonucleotide synthesis and structural studies from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India, and her master’s degree in chemistry from IIT, Madras. She has held post-doctoral positions at Penn State University and Stanford University School of Medicine. Outside of her profession, Vidhya is a passionate yoga practitioner and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in yoga therapy offered by the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Al has served as Executive Consultant / Chief Financial Officer for Delphine Diagnostics Inc. since November 2021.Prior to Delphine Diagnostics Al held senior level positions in operating divisions of large public companies and portfolio companies held by private equity. These industries ranged from business services to retail and drug manufacturing.
Al served as CFO at MRI Network where he established a culture of financial accountability through improved business planning, budgeting, financial analysis and management of legal matters. Al also improved the financial and non-financial information needed to prepare the company for sale. First as part of a division of a public company being sold to a private equity group and then as a carve-out from the private equity company to a standalone buyer.
At Swiss Farms, a private equity portfolio company, Al served as President and CEO where he identified a compelling brand position to retain traditional customers while extending its relevance to attract new customers resulting in a double digit growth in new product sales while also delivering a 40% increase in average spending for loyalty customers. Prior to the President and CEO role Al served as CFO at Swiss Farms where he built the financial and business infrastructure to support the growth required to become a large regional business.
Al also served in broad range of positions during a 20 year period in the pharmaceutical division with Johnson & Johnson. During this period Al served as Financial Manager, Tax Manager and Controller. In these roles, Al enabled the growth of the business through development of strategies and business plans aligned with the needs of the customer and deployed into the organization with clear metrics and management systems used to drive the performance of the business.
During this time Al also served as a pharmaceutical division General Manager. In this role Al was responsible for the leadership required to plan, execute, and manage complex pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing operations. Al successfully led the business through the process of adding new high tech facilities, introducing new products, reducing cycle time, increasing capacity and driving down costs. Under Al’s leadership the business doubled in size by focusing on the customer and flawless execution in all aspects of the business.
